Get out of Pain. Get into Alignment!

POSTURE:  The Rolfing process brings your body into a state of ease, balance and efficiency.  When the ability to remain upright in gravity; whether that be sitting, standing, or moving is improved your body functions appropriately, then pain and tension leave the tissue and health is restored.

MIGRAINE SUFFERERS:  Rolfing has been shown to significantly diminish tension in the sub-occipital muscles at the site where the skull and neck attach, it also can help loosen, break down, and elongate the connective tissue in the neck and thoracic outlet. This diminished tension in the muscles and connective tissue that hold and surround the blood vessels and nerves that go to and from the brain can significantly decrease and even completely eliminate migraine headaches.

BACK AND NECK PAIN effect 90% of people at least once in their lives.  The pain is often caused by an imbalance in the muscles and connective tissue support structures for the spine.  Rolfing is designed to bring balance and ease into the muscular and connective tissue structures of the body and has been shown repeatedly to be highly effective in decreasing and even eliminating back and neck pain.

RUNNERS:  Any individual that enjoys running has heard others tell them that running is bad for you. People will say its bad for your knees and other joints and even go so far as to say that humans aren’t meant to run but walk. As an avid runner myself I strongly disagree with this type of thinking and believe that with proper form and posture humans are amazing runners!  A significant number of my clients are people who have been told by their doctors or other health care providers that they should stop running because of whatever their specific injury is (I.T. band problems, plantar fasciitis, runners knee, etc…). Usually before finishing the 10 series every injured runner who has come to see me is back out running again and feeling better than even before their injury.
